Things get strange for Mireille Enos in Never Here trailer

Never Here Mireille Enos Camille Thoman

Last year, we caught word of a film that was called YOU WERE NEVER HERE, the feature directorial debut of former performance artist Camille Thoman. The psychological thriller has since had its title shortened to NEVER HERE, and a trailer has been released online.

NEVER HERE tells the following story:

Disturbing events lead an artist who photographs strangers to suspect that someone out there is watching her. Boundaries blur between real and imaginary, crime and art, the watcher and the watched.

Those blurred lines are quite apparent in the trailer, which can be seen below. The lead character, played by Mireille Enos, becomes quite confused by the events occurring around her, and over the course of this preview I became sufficiently confused myself. She doesn't know what's going on here, I don't know what's going on here, but I do know that it's impressive that Thoman's work is compared to that of Lynch, Polanski, and De Palma in the critic quotes that show up in the trailer.

Enos's co-stars in the film include Goran Visnjic, Vincent Piazza, Nina Arianda, and the late Sam Shepard.

NEVER HERE is getting a theatrical release on October 20th.
