I remember the first time I read Seth Grahame-Smith's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. It was right after reading the original Austen novel for an English class, and I couldn't finish it. It was just the source novel copied and pasted with a couple added sentences about zombies. I remember thinking at the time that, despite its failings as a book, it could be a pretty kick-ass movie.

Now my dreams are coming true, and I'm more excited for this genteel gorefest with every trailer I get. This newest teaser doesn't give too much new footage away, but it's still as over-the-top as ever. Check out the video below!

A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.

Directed by Burr Steers, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES stars Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Matt Smith, Charles Dance, and Lena Headey.
