This Terminator: Genisys Asian TV spot recreates a classic scene

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

There's no doubt that TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY is one of the greatest sequels of all time (if not THE greatest), although I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the darker tone of the first film. Forever will we remember the classic scene where a punk'd up Bill Paxton says a few choice words to the classic terminator before getting worked over. Well, regardless of how you feel about the story for GENISYS, this Asian TV spot gives us a little glimpse of that classic scene and how things will go down. Plus, you get that really fun Asian voice over!

I know what you're thinking and you're right. That guy does not sound at all like Bill Paxton! GENISYS hasn't really won over the masses with its reworking of the original story, as well as the especially spoilerific reveal in the last trailer, but I do get a kick of how they rendered some of the shots from the first Terminator in HD. Granted, the CG Arnold-face looks a little waxy, but it's a hell of a lot better than the one we got in TERMINATOR: SALVATION. Now, is there any chance this might be a fun time at the theater?

TERMINATOR: GENISYS will open on July 1, 2015.
