Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Having made his feature directorial debut with the 2018 comedy BREAKING & EXITING, actor Peter Facinelli has now jumped into the mystery thriller genre with his new film THE VANISHED, starring Thomas Jane, Anne Heche, and Jason Patric.

Saban Films will be releasing THE VANISHED on Digital, VOD, and into select theatres on August 21st, and today we've gotten our hands on the trailer. It's embedded above.

Written and directed by Facinelli, the film has the following synopsis:

A family vacation takes a terrifying turn when parents Paul (Jane) and Wendy (Heche) discover their young daughter has vanished without a trace. Stopping at nothing to find her, the search for the truth leads to a shocking revelation in this psychological thriller.

Facinelli has an acting role in the film, and Aleksei Archer, Lucas Bentley, and Giovanni Capitello are also in the cast.

Judging by the trailer, Facinelli has done a good job of crafting an interesting story and generating thrills. THE VANISHED looks like it's going to be worth checking out.
