Franck Khalfoun's upcoming haunter AMITYVILLE has been moving along quite nicely as the cast continues to grow for the Jason Blum produced horror flick. Dread Central got the early word that both Thomas Mann (above) and Taylor Spreitler have been the latest additions to the already solid cast.

They join the previously announced Jennifer Jason Leigh, McKenna Grace, Bella Throne, and Cameron Monaghan. Leigh stars as lead character Joan, a single mother who moves her three kids into the Amityville house, which of course has a very dark history.

Franck Khalfoun has already proven that he has the chops to breathe horrific new life into something we've already seen before (MANIAC), so I'm excited to see what he brings to the AMITYVILLE franchise. And thankfully they scrapped the idea of making this a found-footage film because Khalfoun is much too talented for it to be wasted on a shaky-cam mess.

The film is set to be distributed January 2, 2015 by TWC-Dimension.
