Three new clips from Sam Raimi’s Oz The Great And Powerful show off wicked fireballs, travelling bubbles, and CGI characters

If you’re not quite sold on OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL just yet, these three new clips may sway you in either direction.  Sam Raimi‘s journey back to the land of Oz definitely looks like a colorful, magical, CGI-infused journey, but the trailers haven’t shown too much in terms of the tone.  These clips give a sense of the film, but I still think it’s too early to call.  I’ll always give Raimi the benefit of the doubt, as he’s a reliable filmmaker, but I’m still on the fence with OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL.

The clips show off a few different aspects of the film; James Franco travelling in a bubble along with Michelle Williams‘ Glinda the Good Witch, Mila Kunis as Theodora and Rachel Weisz as Evanora having a “heated” discussion, and a look at Zach Braff‘s Finley the Monkey and Joey King‘s China Girl, the two CGI characters that accompany Franco throughout the film.

Take a look:

I’m slowly coming around and the prospects are looking good for me catching this in theaters, although a slew of bad reviews could change that.  Ultimately, “In Raimi I Trust” as he’s rarely let me down.  What do you think?  Are you all in or ready to fold?

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL hits theaters and IMAX 3D on March 8, 2013.
