CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY power scribe John August recently made his directorial debut with a drama titled THE NINES. He’s been giving sporadic updates on the film’s post-production progress over at his official site but a couple of days ago, he finally gave us some video of the goddamn thing in the form of three bizarre but fairly intriguing clips.
The film is a composite of three short films joined thematically by the relationship a creator (on any medium) has with his creation, using the same actors in different roles in each film. Check out the first clip, titled “A Medical Situation”, below then head HERE for the other two. The film premiered earlier this year at Sundance and is scheduled for limited release on August 31st.
