MODEL HOME, the directorial feature debut from Patrick Cunningham, just scored itself its first two cast members with Monique Gabriela Curnen (THE DARK KNIGHT, CONTAGION, pictured below) and Kathy Baker (MACHINE GUN PREACHER, TAKE SHELTER, above).
The movie explores the practice of “live-in staging,” where recently evicted families are recruited to live in unsold properties. Curnen plays a single mother who begins to entertain dangerous fantasies while “staging” a model home in an otherwise empty development while Baker portrays a realtor who grows increasingly suspicious and alarmed.
The screenplay was co-written by Cunningham and William Frank. Will Clevinger, Jarod Einsohn and Ben Rabbers will co-produce with John Frank and Douglas Britton executive producing. Filming is to commence later this month.
