Tiptoe through the tulips with this BTS look at Insidious: Chapter 3

We're fast approaching the release of INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 and a new featurette has been released which takes us behind the scenes of the horror sequel. Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, and Dermot Mulroney all take the time to reveal what's in store for their characters as well as teasing what they call "a crazy scary movie."

I found James Wan's INSIDIOUS to be a great example of low-budget horror done right; the atmosphere, the scares, the actors, everything meshed together wonderfully to create a very memorable and scary (for me at least) experience. INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2…not so much; it had its moments but I didn't find it to be nearly as effective as its predecessor. As for this third chapter, I've been somewhat ambivalent about INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 but I have to admit that I'm coming around to the film with each small snippet we receive.

The synopsis of INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3:

This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.

INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 opens in theaters on June 5, 2015 and according to Leigh Whannell, it sets up the INSIDIOUS franchise for years to come.
