Well we might have seen this coming, as the man knows who he likes to work with, but according to Deadline, Chris Nolan has tapped INCEPTION vet Tom Hardy for a role in the yet-to-be-titled BATMAN 3.
No, it’s not clear what role he’s playing, as that’s being kept a deep, dark secret as you might imagine. Sure he could be the Riddler, but he could also be a cop, a gangster or Bruce Wayne’s mailman for all we know. But if I had to guess, I would probably say he’s up for one of the lead villain roles, and I can see him looking sharp in a green suit.
Hardy has more time on his hands now that MAD MAX: FURY ROAD has hit some potholes, and hopefully this news will get some official confirmation now that it’s leaked. I love Hardy in everything I’ve seen him in, from BRONSON to INCEPTION, and no mattter what his role, he should be a fine addition to the BATMAN cast.
