I have a special relationship with Christian Alvart’s CASE 39. Ok, it isn’t very special really, but I visited the set for the film back in 2006. That’s cool, not special. Since then, I’ve been waiting to see the final product, and have been teased and teased again with promises of a release only to be shot down time and time again. The film still has no official release date.
Lucky for us a crapload of new images surfaced for the film, and now we can see Renée Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Ian McShane, and Bradley Cooper in action. While the images aren’t horrible, they are a little boring… but are they awful? Does this sucker look so bad that I can see why they’ve shelved it for so long? No. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen far worse… but then again, these are just stills. These don’t mean shit.
CASE 39 is about A social worker (Zellweger) who fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected.
