The Slamdance Film Festival is gearing up for it’s week of fun next month in Park City, UT. In preparation for the event, running, January 21-28, 2010, they just announced the latest entries in the Special Screening / Short Film Competition, including one little British flick called TONY.

I ain’t gonna lie to ya: I’ve never heard of TONY until today. But now that I know, I think I’m gonna have to pursue this one… or at least keep on eye on it as to whenever it hits wider distribution. So what, or who, is TONY? Check it: Tony is an urban loner, but that doesn’t stop him trying to make friends in the most gruesome of ways.

Tony is also a dude who digs the ‘look’ of Adolf Hitler, which should also tell you a little about his frame of mind. Starring Peter Ferdinando. Ricky Grover, George Russo, and Francis Pope, TONY sounds promising–and looks promising, to boot. That’s right folks, we have the trailer for you as well, which you can oogle at below in all of its creepy awkwardness.

It’s times like this when I really wish I lived in Utah, or at least had the opportunity to hit up an event like Slamdance. Enjoy the trailer below, and keep your ears to the ground when TONY premiers… I’m very curious to see who a movie like this is received.
