Trailer: ’80s-set alien abduction film Dark Encounter coming to DVD

Available on DVD in the UK since the end of October, writer/director Carl Strathie's alien abduction horror film DARK ENCOUNTER will be getting a DVD release in the US on January 7th. The film's trailer can be seen above, and if you like what you see you can pick up a copy of the DVD HERE.

Described as "a tense supernatural thriller that will get under your skin", DARK ENCOUNTER is set in the 1980s and has the following synopsis:

A year after the mysterious disappearance of an 8 year-old girl, we meet her grieving family as they return home from her memorial service in their small town. Later that evening, strange lights appear in the night sky and the family is terrorised by otherworldly visitors that will lead the family to the truth behind the little girl’s disturbing disappearance.

Laura Fraser, Mel Raido, Sid Phoenix, Grant Masters, Spike White, Vincent Regan, Alice Lowe, and Nicholas Pinnock star.

The trailer is interesting and the movie's festival screenings were followed by some positive reviews, so it looks like DARK ENCOUNTER will be worth checking out.
