Trailer: Agony, starring Asia Argento, reaches VOD this Friday

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Gravitas Ventures has released a trailer online for director Michele Civetta's horror film AGONY, which stars genre regular Asia Argento – and if the idea of a new film starring Argento after the #MeToo allegations made against her in 2018 is something unexpected, it should be noted that this movie was filmed in 2017.

Originally titled THE EXECUTRIX, AGONY was written by Civetta (who happens to be Argento's ex-husband) and Joseph Schuman, and it has the following synopsis:

Called unexpectedly to Tuscany to execute her estranged mother’s will and majestic estate, a discontented New York family woman must decipher visions of her forgotten childhood and confront a spectral “Lady in Red,” whose dark secret unlocks a terrifying destiny.

Argento's co-stars include Rade Serbedzija, Ninetto Davoli, Jonathan Caouette, Monica Gueritorre, and Franco Nero.

The trailer for AGONY can be seen above. Gravitas Ventures will be giving the film a VOD release this Friday, April 3rd.
