Trailer: An author conducts an experiment in fear in True Fiction

True Fiction Braden Croft

We know the story of MISERY, about a popular author being held captive and tormented by his "number one fan". Writer/director Braden Croft's film TRUE FICTION takes that idea and flips it around, making the popular author the one who is holding people captive and tormenting them.

Starring Sara Garcia, John Cassini, Julian Richings, Julian Black Antelope, Catherine Gell, Jason Schneider, and Reamonn Joshee, TRUE FICTION is about

Avery Malone (Garcia), a lonely wannabe writer who gets her big break when she’s hand-selected to assist her hero, reclusive author, Caleb Conrad (Cassini). Whisked away to Caleb’s remote estate, Avery is given her one and only task: participate in a psychological experiment in fear that will serve as the basis for Caleb’s writing. Her stay soon turns dark when she finds herself the subject of Caleb’s all-too-real horror novel.

Cast member Julian Black Antelope produced the film with Michael Peterson, Sheiny Satanove, and Sarah Moore. Laurie Venning, Wayne Bosse, and Todd Carrier executive produced.

TRUE FICTION will be having its world premiere at the Fantaspoa film festival in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil this Friday. Croft will be in attendance for the screening.

The trailer for TRUE FICTION can be seen below. The movie looks interesting to me, so hopefully we'll be hearing some distribution news soon.
