It's time for us to spend time with the trailer for CHILD EATER, the feature adapted from the 2012 short film of the same name. Written and directed by Erlingur Thoroddsen, the film raised funds via Kickstarter and is finally complete! In the trailer, which you can view below, he paints a cold, stark picture of a Stranger Things-esque abduction and a babysitter in peril who must find the strength within herself to become a hero. Check it out!

A co-production between the US and Iceland, in CHILD EATER:

Babysitting can be a real nightmare, especially for Helen who's stuck looking after Lucas, a frightened boy who says he hears noises coming from his bedroom closet. Shortly after he makes those claims Lucas disappears, possibly at the hands of an infamous supernatural serial killer who, as legend has it, eats children’s eyes in order to keep his vision. Helen’s only option? Enter the dark, creepy woods where the mythical “Child Eater” lives to try to save Lucas.

CHILD EATER world premieres at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival on October 16th. Producer and respected film journalist Perri Nemiroff will be in attendance. The film stars Cait Bliss, Melinda Chilton, and Colin Critchley.
