An Irish Exorcism

Rolling out onto VOD and DVD this May 12th is Eric Courtney’s AN IRISH EXORCISM, a new horror film that blends found footage with that of the exorcism variety. It’s certainly a combination we’ve seen before, so hopefully AN IRISH EXORCISM brings something more to the table than the usual shaky cam mess that the found footage sub genre is oh so good at. Bleh.

From Virgil Films, AN IRISH EXORCISM stars Aislinn Ni Uallachain, who stars as an…

…anthropology student in her final year of college who decides to film her thesis project – on the subject of exorcism within the Catholic Church. Recording interviews with priests from the local diocese, she stumbles upon Father Byrne (Brian Fortune) an older priest who is helping a young woman whose 13-year-old daughter is apparently possessed by a demonic force. Lorraine’s curiosity leads her and her camera operator, Cathal (Dillon White), down a dark path toward the terrifying truth. Things go from strange to worse as all involved become entangled into a frightful journey to save an innocent girl’s life – and maybe their own.

The film also stars Paddy C. Courtney, Elaine Hearty and Anna Davis. Dig on the trailer below!
