Though I doubt it’ll top the splendid KIDNAPPED, it looks like another Spanish home-invasion film was made this year. This one is called TRANSGRESSION, and stars the always entertaining Michael Ironside as well as the always beauteous Maria Grazia Cucinotta. The flick has been making the rounds in Spain for the last few weeks, but we now have a look at the trailer. Scope it…

Directed by Enric Alberich from a script Marc Gonzalez – TRANSGRESSION goes like this:

Matthew and Elena are about to face the worst night of their lives when four burglars trespass into their home looking for easy money. But things don’t go as planned. Tension and fear take over them all, victims and executioners, and mistrust, betrayals and unexpected lies will come to light at the worst possible time.

Transgression is a disquieting thriller that tests either the skills of those trying to perform a theft with the maximum efficiency and the ones of the victims, whose goal is to survive this tragic experience.

The story starts with two differentiated parts that slowly thins down as if the line separating good and evil frays because of the continuous touch of fear. Because in Transgression, panic is all over, creating a spiral of suspicions that would lead them all into a fatal outcome.

Also starring Carlos Bardem, Fabio Fulco, Yon Gonzalez, Jonathan Keltz and Ivana Mino – TRANSGRESSION has yet to lock official release dates outside of Spain.

Oh Maria!
