Released monthly, the feature films that make up the 12-part Hulu / Blumhouse series Into the Dark are each, in some way, related to a holiday that occurs during their month of release. The series began in October, and installments have so far dealt with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and Valentine's Day. I fully expected the March and April entries to deal with St. Patrick's Day and Easter, but that's not the case – the April entry, director Adam Mason's I'M JUST F*CKING WITH YOU – is set on April Fools' Day, while the March holiday the series will be observing is the Ides of March, which is
a day on the Roman calendar that corresponds to March 15th. It was marked by several religious observances and was notable for the Romans as a deadline for settling debts.

Written and directed by Psych star James Roday, the Ides of March film is titled TREEHOUSE and stars Jimmi Simpson as
celebu-chef, Peter Rake, who tries to escape a recent wave of negative tabloid exposure by retreating to his family’s vacation estate in the woods. But the ghosts of Peter’s past are everywhere and debts will be settled. Soon, he realizes that a woman’s place is anywhere that she chooses to be.
Simpson is joined in the cast by Mary McCormack, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Maggie Lawson, Stephanie Beatriz, Julianna Guill, Michael Weston, Amanda Walsh, Sutton Foster, and Cass Bugge.
Into the Dark: TREEHOUSE will be available for viewing on the Hulu streaming service as of March 1st, and a week ahead of the release a trailer has arrived online. It's embedded below.
I've been enjoying Into the Dark so far and liked Roday's 2015 horror comedy GRAVY, so I'm looking forward to watching TREEHOUSE.
