Trailer Mash: Blumhouse & John Carpenter’s Invisible Man

Hey guys, welcome to another AITH Exclusive TRAILER MASH. So far we have taken on films such as Jordan Peele's GET OUT and US in a mash dubbed GET US OUT and RAMBO: LAST BLOOD and Rob Zombie's THREE FROM HELL in a mash-up we call RAMBO FROM HELL.

And today we have an all-new mash-up for you guys. Inspired by The Arrow himself, this time we're combining John Carpenter's MEMOIRS OF AN INVISIBLE MAN starring Chevy Chase and Blumhouse and writer-director Leigh Whannell's THE INVISIBLE MAN starring Elisabeth Moss.

John Carpenter's MEMOIRS OF AN INVISIBLE MAN centered on:

Nick Halloway (Chevy Chase), an average businessman who undergoes an extraordinary change when an experiment goes awry turning him invisible. Government operative David Jenkins (Sam Neill) discovers Nick in his see-through condition at the scene of the accident and arranges for him to be taken into custody, but he escapes. As Nick tries to find out more about his strange situation, he receives aid from Alice Monroe (Daryl Hannah), a pretty acquaintance who helps him avoid capture.

MEMOIRS OF AN INVISIBLE MAN was directed by John Carpenter from a screenplay written by Robert Collector, Dana Olsen, and William Goldman based on the book by H. F. Saint. Bruce Bodner and Dan Kolsrud produced and it starred Chevy Chase, Daryl Hannah, Sam Neill, Michael McKean, and Stephen Tobolowsky. Warner Bros. released it back on February 28, 1992. BUY IT HERE.

Meanwhile, Blumhouse's THE INVISIBLE MAN tells the tale of 

Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) who escapes her violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid). But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turn lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

Blumhouse's THE INVISIBLE MAN is written and directed by Leigh Whannell who is also executive producing. Jason Blum produces with Kylie du Fresne for Goalpost Pictures in association with Nervous Tick, for Universal Pictures. INVISIBLE MAN is set to reach theatres on February 28, 2020.
