Trailer previews streaming series based on Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The first major series for the Peacock streaming service is Brave New World, based on the 1932 sci-fi novel written by Aldous Huxley. Starring Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay, Demi Moore, Harry Lloyd, and Hannah John-Kamen, the show will be set in a

dystopian future where science has created a perfect society. The World State is a place where advancement has eliminated the need for money, family, monogamy, and other social constructs that rule our current world. But everything gets thrown into chaos when one of the lesser people, known as John the Savage, gets thrown into this idyllic society.

Ehrenreich is playing John the Savage.

Peacock hasn't announced a premiere date for Brave New World, but a trailer has arrived online and is embedded above. In addition to Peacock, the series will also be airing on Sky in the UK.

Huxley's novel previously served as the basis for TV movies that aired in 1980 and 1998. I'm completely out of the loop on this one, I haven't read the novel or seen those TV movies, but the cast has me interested in this new series.

Copies of Huxley's novel can be purchased at THIS LINK.
