Trailer released for body horror thriller The Beach House!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Horror movies have done a good job making me agoraphobic lately. I mean, not even balmy, sunny beach retreats are safe! At least according to the upcoming body-horror film THE BEACH HOUSE from Shudder. Here's the official synopsis:

Escaping to his family's beach house to reconnect, Emily and Randall find their off-season trip interrupted by Mitch and Jane Turner, an older couple acquainted with Randall’s estranged father. Unexpected bonds form as the couples let loose and enjoy the isolation, but it all takes an ominous turn as increasingly strange environmental phenomena begin to warp their peaceful evening. As the effects of an infection become evident, Emily struggles to make sense of the contagion before it’s too late.

Well, looks approriately gross and disturbing, as any good body horror film should be. I'll just make sure I'm not eating anything while I watch it.

Meanwhile, THE BEACH HOUSE –  directed by Jeffrey A. Brown and starring Liana Liberato (BANANA SPLIT, Hulu’s Light as a Feather), Noah Le Gros (A SCORE TO SETTLE), Jake Weber (DAWN OF THE DEAD [2004], MEET JOE BLACK) and Maryann Nagel – will premiere on Shudder July 9th.

So what do you guys think? And what are your favorite body horror movies (hard mode: no THE THING)? Either way, sound off below!
