Knives Out Rian Johnson

Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, Lionsgate will be releasing writer/director Rian Johnson's murder mystery KNIVES OUT, which is about, as cast member Jamie Lee Curtis describes it, a "family gathering that turns bloody very quickly". There's still almost five months to go before the film's release, but a trailer has arrived online to give us a preview of the whodunnit Johnson has cooked up here.

Curtis is part of a very impressive ensemble that also includes Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, Riki Lindhome, Edi Patterson, Raúl Castillo, Frank Oz, and Noah Segan.

KNIVES OUT is Rian Johnson's

tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie; a fun, modern-day murder mystery where everyone is a suspect. When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death.

The film is described as "witty and stylish", and promises to "keep audiences guessing until the very end".

I'm looking forward to KNIVES OUT, I'm excited to see this cast bounce off each other… and maybe knock each other off…

KNIVES OUT is set to reach theatres on November 27th.
