Trailer released for the R-Rated horror-comedy PG

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I've been excited for the R-Rated PG (subtitle: PSYCHO GOREMAN) ever since I heard about it premiering at this year's SXSW. It seemed like a great concept – make an E.T.-type kid's movie…but make the creature the kids fall in love with a violent killing machine instead of a cute, lovable alien. And – judging by the trailer – it seems like the film has succeeded at what it set out to do! Not only does it have cool, retro-style practical creature designs, but it also seems to be balancing the tightrope tone of heartfelt schmaltz vs. bloody carnage. Let's hope the film can keep that act up the entire runtime!

Here's the official synopsis:

Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord. Using a magical amulet, they force the monster to obey their childish whims, and accidentally attract a rogues' gallery of intergalactic assassins to small-town suburbia.

Now, while PG (PSYCHO GOREMAN) was supposed to premiere to at this year's SXSW, no official release date has been been scheduled as of yet, but we'll definitely keep you posted!

So what do you guys think? You down for a fun, retro 80's creature feature? If so, which design is your favorite? Either way, sound off below!
