Trailer: Roddy Piper’s final film role The Chair

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It was way back in April 2014 that we passed along word that Bill Oberst, Jr., Roddy Piper, Zach Galligan, and Naomi Grossman all agreed to join director Chad Ferrin's (Exorcism at 60,000 Feet, Someone's Knocking at the Door) adaptation of the Alterna Comic book THE CHAIR.

And today we have the film's trailer to share with you guys. Check it out below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think of the final film to star Roddy Piper (THEY LIVE). For those of you out there (like me) that are unfamiliar with the comic's synopsis, here is the plot rundown:

Richard Sullivan is an innocent man struggling to escape his fate on Death Row. Witnessing the brutal torture and murder of his fellow inmates, will he find a way to survive, or will the insane events of the prison finally consume him? Everything is not what it seems, and sanity is such an easy thing to lose.

THE CHAIR is directed by Chad Ferrin from a screenplay written by Erin Kohut based on story and characters created by Peter Simeti. Jes Pececita Joule, Timothy Morse, and Craig Walendziak produced and the film stars Bill Oberst Jr. (THREE FROM HELL), Roddy Piper (THEY LIVE), Noah Hathaway (THE NEVERENDING STORY), Zach Galligan (GREMLINS), and Naomi Grossman (AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW).

There doesn't seem to be a release date attached to the film, but we will make sure to keep you guys up to date as soon as we hear anything.
