Trailer: The ABC Murders starring John Malkovich & Rupert Grint

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

“Are we going to have a murder?”

Agatha Christie is one of the names all horror fans should know for her novels which basically are the prototype for all the slasher films we have ever seen with the main one being TEN LITTLE INDIANS. And if you're a fan of Christie's mystery thrillers then you probably already know that the BBC has begun airing a 3-part limited series adaptation of her novel THE ABC MURDERS. If you weren't aware, take note as the series is worth checking out – if for no other reason than it's cast which includes the one and only John Malkovich along with that ginger kid from the HARRY POTTER movies.

All jokes aside, I'm a fan of the HARRY POTTER movies and thus I'm a fan of Rupert Grint and his Ron Weasley character so I'm excited to check out this BBC miniseries if for no other reason than to see Grint take on a new role. The series began airing over on the BBC last night and today you can check out the trailer below. The limited series will begin airing here in the states via Amazon Prime Video this February.

Here's the rundown:

In The ABC Murders, it’s 1933 and a killer travels the length and breadth of Britain via the railway network. The killer uses the alias ABC, and strikes in a methodical pattern, leaving a copy of the ABC railway guide at the scene of each murder. As Poirot (Malkovich) attempts to investigate he is thwarted on every front. If he is to match his most cunning nemesis, everything about him will be called into question: his authority, his integrity, his identity.

The mystery drama thriller is based on The A.B.C. Murders by Agatha Christie and adapted for the screen by Sarah Phelps. Alex Gabassi directs and the limited series stars John Malkovich as Hercule Poirot, Rupert Grint as Inspector Crome, Andrew Buchan as Franklin Clarke, Eamon Farren as Alexander Bonaparte Cust, Jack Farthing as Donald Fraser, Tara Fitzgerald as Lady Hermione Clarke, Shirley Henderson as Rose Marbury, Bronwyn James as Megan Barnard, Freya Mavor as Thora Grey, and Kevin McNally as Inspector Japp. Damien Timmer, Helen Ziegler, James Prichard, Basi Akpabio, and Elizabeth Kilgarriff executive produce. THE ABC MURDERS premieres in the US on Amazon Prime Video February 1st.
