While Hollywood remakes a lot of foreign films because Americans supposedly hate reading subtitles (including ones that are shot-for-shot remakes by the original director, such as Michael Haneke's FUNNY GAMES), it goes the other way around as well. Examples include India's E.T., Turkish STAR WARS, and even an anime version of METROPOLIS.
This also includes BLOODY MUSCLE BUILDER IN HELL…a.k.a. Japanese EVIL DEAD. However, for over a decade it's been officially unavailable to the US…until now, thanks to Wild Eye Releasing. You can even see the trailer they cut at the top of the article! And here's the official synopsis:
Body builder Shinji meets his ex-girlfriend to help with her research on haunted houses. Accompanied by a professional psychic, they visit an abandoned house, where they find themselves trapped and tormented by a ghost with a thirty year grudge.
