Trailer/poster/plot for Micho Rutare’s disaster flick Meteor Apocalypse

The title says it all, doesn’t it folks. I mean, c’mon…who the hell wouldn’t wanna see a flick called METEOR APOCALYPSE?

No doubt keeping the end-of-the-world theme intact (2009 seemed to have a new variation of said theme almost every week), Micho Rutare’s stint is about as high concept as it gets: A gigantic meteor enters Earth’s orbit and begins to disintegrate, showering the planet with destruction. F*ckin A!

Co-written with Brian Brinkman (who also produces), the film stars Joe Lando, Claudia Christian (below), Cooper Harris, Brendan Bradley, Theresa Deveaux, Jon Gale, Sueann Han, Sex Henderson (bold name), Peter Husmann, Amanda Jaros, Mina Joukar, Jennifer Smart and Madison McLaughlin.

In the trailer below, obviously hampered by a miniscule budget, we get a good dose of action and suspense without the laughable overuse of CGI. And while the film is clearly a direct-to-video genre effort, I was kinda surprised by the production value for a flick with such a schlocky title and premise. Of course, those who loathe Los Angeles ought to delight at the sight of city reduced to a smoldering ball of rubble!

METEOR APOCALYPSE actually hit DVD last month, snag a copy of that shite RIGHT HERE!
