Jimmy Bennett Perhaps realizing that Spock shouldn’t be the only character allowed to be played by two separate actors, J.J. Abrams has, according to the folks at Comingsoon.net, cast 11 year old veteran character actor Jimmy Bennett to play an even younger Captain James T. Kirk in his upcoming STAR TREK reboot. Chris Pine, of course, plays the man candy young adult cadet Kirk. The decidedly young cast includes Zoe Saldana, Ben Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Winona Ryder, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana, Leonard Nimoy and Marlene Forte. The inaugural launch of the Enterprise is set for December 25th.
