This is somewhat of a bizarre change of events, and unless someone does something about it, it could have immensely fatal results to the picture in question. According to Box Office Mojo, the upcoming Halloween-themed TRICK ‘R TREAT has been pulled from it’s October 8th release by Warner Bros, and rescheduled into sometime in 2008!!!
Why they would pull this movie of all movies out of the Halloween holiday release schedule is beyond me, but what makes it worse is that they’re throwing it out to sometime next year! Which may likely mean sometime next winter or early spring, otherwise known as ‘dump month’. Bahhhhh!
Could it be because TRICK isn’t very good? Could it be Warner Bros. is anticipating Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN will be pushed back to October due to it’s variety of reshoots? Could it be that the release gods at Warner are a bunch of crack-pot old white guys in business suites that know nothing about nothing? Either way you cut it, this change bites the big the one.
