Trick ‘r Treat (2007) – Show Me the Sequel

Writer/director Michael Dougherty’s horror anthology Trick ‘r Treat (watch it HERE) became a cult classic as soon as it was released, and that’s about the same time we started hearing that Dougherty intends to make a sequel. Fans have been waiting for Trick ‘r Treat 2 for over a decade now – so we’ve decided to use the new episode in our Show Me the Sequel video series as a way to demand / beg that Trick ‘r Treat 2 finally get made. Watch the video embedded above to find out why we want to see this sequel so badly.

Trick ‘r Treat tells

five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with a demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater.

The film stars Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, Lauren Lee Smith, Rochelle Aytes, Leslie Bibb, Brett Kelly, and Quinn Lord.

The Show Me the Sequel series is about

genre films that either never got sequels and we feel it’s long overdue, fine movies that did get sequels but they were so lackluster that going back to square one is a must, or… flicks that DO have sequels but hey, we want freaking MORE of them! On top of that, we put our pitch for what said sequel should be about!

The Trick ‘r Treat episode was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated by Lance Vlcek, Edited by Jaime Vasquez, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Berge Garabedian is the Executive Producer.
