True Detective will utilize porn stars to flesh out massive orgy sequence

I know that you’ve probably read ‘like you need a reason’ all the time in news articles regarding the latest movies and shows, and it’s used mostly in an effort to hype up said material. Well, I’m confident I’ve found the ultimate ‘like you need a reason’ regarding Season 2 of HBO’s True Detective. Like you need a reason to see this show, but HBO has hired porn stars to help lend some authenticity to what’s been referred to as an EYES WIDE SHUT-level of naked bodies. We’re talking flesh on top of flesh on top of flesh. It’s the human equivalent of a Big Mac. If this orgy were a movie, it would be INCEPTION. That’s how deep we’re going here. I could do this all day, but I think you get the point.

Word on the participant street of said orgy scene was that it was shot in a Pasadena mansion involving dozens of naked bodies, of which both Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams were present for. Also present in the scene were industry stars Amia Miley and Peta Jensen. Hollywood Reporter states that these two stars were one of the lucky few who didn’t get totally naked. I’m no scientist, but that also doesn’t mean they didn’t get partially naked. Just sayin’.

The first season of Nic Pizzolatto‘s True Detective wowed audiences with it’s stellar writing and performances from Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Season 2 will tell a completely different tale, following three California police officers who must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder. The vibe looks to be a little different and I feel that the cast, consisting of Taylor Kitsch, Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams, reflects that immensely well. I’m going to be glued to the TV once this show starts regardless but if they want to throw an orgy in there too . . . I’m okay with that.

Season 2 of True Detective will hit HBO sometime in 2015.
