Turnpike Killer cometh

Oh, we’ve got ourselves a new killer staking out Jersey as well as some of New York. It’s called, fittingly enough, THE TURNPIKE KILLER and it’s a first-time feature for directors/writers, Brian Weaver and Evan Makrogiannis. I’m not entirely sure what to make of the flick’s poster to the right, but do feel that it’s oddly interesting. I also dig the fact that Weaver is looking to gear this TURNPIKE similar to genre offerings from the late 70’s/early 80’s. The plot is basically cut and dry, but here it is anyway:

A bloodsoaked journey into the mind of a deranged killer who stalks the New York/New Jersey area and totally brutalizes them.

Now, who the hell wouldn’t want to check that shit out! And trust me, friends, this one ain’t afraid to get bloody and raw (kind of like how I like my steaks). There will be nothing lighthearted here. Just down and dirty savage business. The cast is composed of Bill McLaughlin (as the killer), Edgar Moyé, Vinny Ward, Lyndsey Brown, Demetri Kallas, Alia Lorae, and Brenda Gonzalez. TURNPIKE is actually having its premier this Sunday, June 28th, at Queens, NY’s Hell Gate Social.

Kirsten Dunst was born in Jersey.
