TV series “Twin Peaks” due for a return? Series writer Bob Engels says maybe!

Now before I even start this article I’ve got to admit I’m not a fan of the classic television series “Twin Peaks.” Before I get stoned to death allow me to explain. I just never had the opportunity to check out the series, actually I hadn’t even heard of it until recently. From what I can tell this seems like something that would be right down my alley so my lack of experience in the subject isn’t for lack of interest. With that said allow me to bring you all today’s news: Could we be seeing a “Twin Peaks” return?!

According to series writer/producer Bob Engels that is indeed a possibility! You see the guys over at Moviehole.net recently had a chance to chat with Engels about a number of things, including the chances of seeing a “Twin Peaks” return!

“Oh sure. It’s a funny thing… I think if we could figure out a way to do it, I think everybody would have fun going back. You just don’t want to do Return to Mayberry. It’d be a miracle to get the whole group back together again but I think, all things being equal, they’d say ‘I’m in’. I certainly would. …. I get a call once every six months or so from someone asking, ‘What do you think about doing Twin Peaks again?’ but it’s not my call. If [“Twin Peaks” creators] David [Lynch] and Mark [Foster] are in, then yes.”

So there you have it folks! Take from that what you will. Obviously Engels is just talking shop here. It seems like nothing is in the works but obviously the interest is there somewhere! Does that mean we could possibly be seeing “Twin Peaks” back in the near future? Would you guys even want that? Hit us with your thoughts on this below and keep it here for anything and everything involving “Twin Peaks” as we hear it!
