Twilight hits the graphic novel medium, 1st issue out in March

Two TWILIGHT references in a few hours is enough to color me suicidal, but here we go.

As if rabid TWILIGHT diehards haven’t enough to swoon and gawk over between flicks (they do pump these flicks out like assembly line products), it seems a new Stephanie Meyer graphic novel is abound, with the first issue set to hit shelves March 16th. Oh joy!

With only 350,000 copies of  TWILIGHT: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL VOL. 1 set to circulate (which will surely be gone in no more than 24 hrs), the artwork is done by Young Kim, whose name happens to tie in perfectly with the targeted demo.

I guess this makes sense, seeing how the only way to get a kid to read these days is via the graphic novel. Also, a move like this had to be made to compensate for the low returns of such mega-hits as TWILIGHT and NEW MOON. Right?

Damn, talk about a cash cow. We’re moving from poorly written tween populist fare to poorly written tween populist fare with pictures? Excuse me while I find a noose!

Not much else here, so go ahead and spit some fire below telling us what you think about such a notion.
