Well, the 2009 MTV Movie Awards have come and gone and honestly, the only good part involved a white rapper and a comedian who plays a gay fashion specialist. And speaking of gay, TWILIGHT (you know, that tweeny-turd about girly vampires) actually won Best Movie as well as every other friggin’ award it was up for.
You know it’s a sad state for our genre when an “alleged horror-themed” flick wins big-time and everyone here at AITH is pissed off about it. I also found it extremely sad to learn that I, myself, have actually outgrown MTV. If a channel has flipped up its programming so that most if not all content is geared towards the generation of freaks and dillweeds that support the likes of TWILIGHT and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and that buck-toothed walking porta-potty known as Miley, then I’m f*cking done!!!
And hey, did you happen to catch that brand new trailer for NEW MOON that aired during the award show? You know, the one that apparently broke the hymens of all the teeny-boppers in the crowd every time host Andy Samburg made mention of it? Did you catch it? Me neither and I couldn’t give less of a shit. I hear that now instead of just gay vampires, there will be some gay werewolves. The film must be taking place mostly in Rhode Island because I hear that’s where it’s legal for those two species to marry. Anyways, I’m finished. Look for NEW MOON in theaters across the country this November!
