Ever since Chris Bumbray’s rave review of THE KILLER INSIDE ME back in January after the film hit Sundance (read the review HERE), its been high on my ‘must-see’ list, and yet… here we are four months later, and we’re still waiting for it to hit theaters. Lame.
But what we do have are two new posters for the film, the first a UK quad poster (above) featuring Cassey Affleck front and center, with a scary looking Kate Hudson and a smokin’ hot Jessica Alba looking both shakin’ and stirred in the background. Best quad poster to date? Not even close. But does it continue to pique my interest for this film? Yes… yes it does.
The second is the domestic poster (below) that’s so raw and gritty that it might make you feel in need of a bath after checking it out. It features the same suspects as above, but gets a little more awesome with Alba appearing with just a bra on, and not much else. That I can get behind. Hudson still looks a bit boring, and Affleck… well, from what I know, he’s a crazy mofo, and it shows here.
Directed by Michael Winterbottom, THE KILLER INSIDE ME goes a little something like this: a handsome, charming, unassuming small town sheriff’s deputy named Lou Ford (Casey Affleck) who has difficulty juggling his long-term girlfriend Amy (Kate Hudson), the prostitute named Joyce (Jessica Alba) that he mistakenly falls for, and the sociopathic tendencies inside him.
Word. You can also have your socks rocked off with the new domestic trailer below. Awesomesauce. THE KILLER INSIDE ME hits theaters in the UK June 8, and theaters in North America June 18, 2010.
