Last week we made eyes with the first official image of John Cusack as Edgar Allen Poe in the film formerly known as THE RAVEN, and today we’ve got an encore. Two new images of the foully goateed Cusack have surfaced, unfortunately not in the highest of resolution. Still, you can see how his version of Poe in the untitled thriller is shaping up.

Also featuring Alice Eve (pictured below), Luke Evans, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen – The James McTiegue film is a gritty thriller in which Edgar Allan Poe (John Cusack) joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders.

Man I love Cusack for this role. I love it when the dude gets out of the maudlin rom-com comfort zone and stretches his genre legs. In the immortal words of Bart Scott…CAN’T WAIT!

The untitled Raven film is scheduled to bow on March 9th.
