Everything we've seen from Neil Blomkamp's ELYSIUM has been solid, convincing me that the Matt Damon-starring sci-fi actioner is one of the 'must see' films of the summer and I'm hoping that "Activate Kruger!" becomes the catchphrase of the year. There's just something really catchy about it!
On tap for you we have 2 new TV spots for ELYSIUM, one being a 'critics' spot filled with praise for Blomkamp's latest, while the other, titled 'Max vs. Kruger', focuses on the action of the flick.
In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) will stop at nothing to preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium – but that doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. Max (Matt Damon) agrees to take on a life-threatening mission, one that could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
ELYSIUM will hit theaters this Friday, August 9, and stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, and Alice Braga.
