I couldn’t be more excited about the new Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s seminal classic AMERICAN GODS. The show is being run by Bryan Fuller (HANNIBAL) and looks amazing. Beautiful, eccentric, colorful, vibrant. It is so far – at least in the way the characters look and are depicted – exceeding my wildest expectations.
It also seems perfectly cast, like Ian McShane as the mysterious Mr. Wednesday. We now have two promos showing off two of the core cast, first with the aforementioned Mr. Wednesday:
And Shadow Moon, played by Ricky Whittle:
I’m not sure I’m convinced of Whittle yet (though damn does he look the part), however I’m sure he’ll do fine when we see more footage. I’m hopeful.
Meanwhile, AMERICAN GODS will premiere on Starz April 30th, 2017. Start prayin’!
