Two new clips from Matthew Chapman’s race-against-time thriller The Ledge

One flick I’m looking forward to seeing as counterprogramming to this blockbuster summer season is THE LEDGE, Matthew Chapman’s sexually charged thriller. You know the one I mean, right? It stars Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler (below), Terrence Howard and Charlie Hunnam. Yup yup, that one!

So to get you in a similar mood, we have a pair of new clips from the film, which you can scope out below.

In the first clip, you can see Terrence Howard’s character try to talk Charlie Hunnam’s character off the ledge. Not to spoil anything, but homey isn’t exactly suicidal. He’s been instructed to stay on the ledge till noon, then jump, or someone else will die.

In the second clip, check out how creepy Patrick Wilson can get as he more or less molests his frigid wife (Tyler). A man of faith, he subtly chokes her, caresses her booby and whispers sweet nothings in her ear. It’s the cross on the wall in the background that I find the most off-putting.

West also featured – One step can change a life forever in THE LEDGE, a sexy and suspenseful thriller, starring Charlie Hunnam, Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson and Terrence Howard. After embarking on a passionate affair with his evangelical neighbor’s wife (Tyler), Gavin (‘Sons of Anarchy’s’ Hunnam) soon finds himself in a battle of wills that will have life or death consequences. As a non-believing atheist, Gavin is lured by her lover’s husband (‘Insidious’ Wilson) to the ledge of a high rise and told he has one hour to make a choice between his life or the one he loves. Without faith in an afterlife, will he be able to make a decision? It’s up to police officer Hollis (Howard) to save both their lives but the clock is ticking in this edge-of-your-seat film that will leave you gasping until the final frame.

THE LEDGE jumps into limited theaters July 8th.
