Two new clips from Mother’s Day showcase Rebecca De Mornay’s crazy eyes

Ah, Rebecca De Mornay. Your eyes are a thing of insane beauty. You open them so wide, they must be on a hinge. But, whatever you do, keep doing it. You are one scary mama.

SAW II director Darren Lyn Bousman likely sat behind the camera prompting De Mornay to open her eyes wider and wider to exemplify the sheer craziness of the character. There is no doubt this movie is all about that central role. Everything else is just there for Mother to play with.

These two new clips prove that point. We see exactly why Mother is the fearsome matriarch of this family of criminals.

Synopsis: MOTHER’S DAY is a graphic remake of the Troma horror classic, Mother’s Day. After a bank robbery gone wrong, three brothers go home to hideout…only to discover that their Mother lost their house in a foreclosure. The new owners and their party guests become the depraved brothers’ unwitting hostages. Their sadistic Mother soon arrives and brilliantly takes control of the situation, ratcheting up the terror. As the hostages struggle desperately to survive the harrowing torture, they realize that there is nothing a Mother won’t do to protect her children.

MOTHER’S DAY also stars Jaime King, Briana Evigan, Patrick Flueger, Deborah Ann Woll, Matt O’ Leary, Jessie Rusu, Frank Grillo, Warren Kole, and Shawn Ashmore. The film will open in select theaters on May 4th and on blu-ray May 8th.
