The more I see from RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, the more I like. Maybe it’s just that the marketing department has been doing a very good job at making it look appealing, or maybe it’s actually going to be a very pleasant surprise. Either way, I’m certainly more excited for it than I was a few months ago.
Two new TV spots have hit the net, which we have for you below. Both continue highlight the movie’s central figure, Caesar the ape, which I think is a wise move. He’s the reason why asses will drop into the seats, after all – not James Franco.
Coming out on AUGUST 5th here in the US, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
In addition to Franco, the flick stars Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, and Andy Serkis.
