Two television spots for 2 Guns with Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington

One comic book adaptation that hasn't received a lot of attention is 2 GUNS but it's hard to compete for eyeballs when you're going up against Iron Man, Superman and Wolverine, not to mention all the other big releases coming out during these busy summer months. The film from director Baltasar Kormákur (CONTRABAND) and based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant may not have the most original idea but with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg teaming up it should be a blast.

Two television spots for 2 GUNS have aired recently and while we've seen most of the footage from the first trailer already it's still worth another look. 2 GUNS definitely has Denzel Washington playing a familiar character but it's been a little while since we've seen him in a role like this and it seems like he's having a lot of fun. With the right amount of humor, action and some excellent violence (use that R-rating to your advantage people!) 2 GUNS could be a nice "little" movie to check out towards the end of this summer.

An elaborate scam has a DEA agent and a NCIS agent investigating one another in belief they are stealing money from the mob. But when they realize that they were set up by the CIA, they must work together to return the money and stay alive.

2 GUNS with Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, James Marsden, Bill Paxton and Edward James Olmos will be released on August 2nd, 2014.
