Uncork’d acquires The Divine Tragedies, starring Foree and Crampton

It's been quite a wait for writer/director Jose Prendes' film THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES, which was filmed in 2014, but it looks like the wait will soon be coming to an end, as it has been announced that Uncork'd Entertainment has picked up the U.S. distribution rights.

The first film from Jon and James Kondelik's Dual Visions production company, THE DIVINE TRAGEDIES stars Hannah Levien, Barbara Crampton, Ken Foree, Sean Whalen, Graham Denman, Amanda Curtis, and Lynn Lowry in a story that is loosely based on the Leopold and Loeb murder case and centers on 

Charles Brubaker and his half-brother Thomas Lo Bianco, who concoct a deadly game to test their superior intelligence against the dimwitted masses. This game will eventually lead to murder. And when Genevieve, a beautiful single mother, enters their lives they finally find the perfect girl for their first kill. But problems arise when they quickly discover that Detective Homer Gaul, a cop with a very special gift, is hot on their trail.

Our own Jake Dee got a chance to watch the movie at the end of 2014, and while his reaction wasn't positive (he gave the movie a 3/10 review), it should be noted that the cut at that time was 21 minutes longer than the one that went on to play at festivals.
