One genre doc out this year that could be on the Oscar short-list is THE IMPOSTER, the UK mystery that E.Dubb placed 3rd on his top ten list of 2012. The flick kind of came and went in select theaters this past summer, but now we know exactly when we’ll be able to uncover it on DVD…

And that date is…January 22nd, a short 3 weeks away. Feel free to pre-order that sucker right HERE.

Directed by Bart Layton – THE IMPOSTER is a documentary centered on a young Frenchman who convinces a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who has been missing for 3 years.

Sounds too damn intriguing to pass up, especially considering all the plaudits its culled over the past 6 months or so. I personally can’t wait to see the flick. How about you?
