Bloody Disgusting is alleging that during Comic-Con, where if you’re not a sequel – you’re gonna get one – it was announced that we’re going to be blessed with at least on more UNDERWORLD movie. Here’s the catch: it’s a PREQUEL! Why, that doesn’t make the prospect of a third UNDERWORLD seem so lame and unimaginative at all!!
Indeed there’s another catch. Director Len Wiseman, now having tasted true success with LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, is not coming back, according to IESB. His Production Designer on DIE HARD 4, Patrick Tatopoulos (also a well-known effects artist), will be taking the reigns. No word on whether Kate Beckinsale will be slipping into her leather ass-kicking suit again, but I’m guessing she’ll be making the journey with her man Wiseman elsewhere (while this movie contemplates whether or not it’s content to go straight-to-DVD).
