Unhuman trailer: Brianne Tju stars in horror comedy from Blumhouse and Marcus Dunstan

Almost a year has gone by since we heard that Brianne Tju (the I Know What You Did Last Summer TV show) had signed on to star in Unhuman, a horror comedy that Marcus Dunstan (The Collector) was directing for Blumhouse and the Epix premium cable outlet. Now a trailer for Unhuman has arrived online, along with the information that the film will be receiving a digital release on June 3rd. Check out the trailer in the embed above!

Written by Paul Soter of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe (which brought us the awesome slasher comedy Club Dread), Unhuman follows

a group of high school students whose school bus crashes while on a field trip.  Relationships are tested amongst the students once they realize they are being stalked by a mysterious attacker who intends to drive them out of their bucolic adolescence and straight into a horrifying fight to survive.

Tju is joined in the cast by Benjamin Wadsworth (Your Honor), Ali Gallo (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Uriah Shelton (Freaky), Joshua Mikel (The Walking Dead), C.J. LeBlanc (Project Power), Lo Graham (Filthy Rich), Drew Scheid (Halloween 2018), Peter Giles (Dunstan’s Into the Dark: Pilgrim), Blake Burt (There’s No Such Thing as Vampires), and Dana Wing Lau (Fung Family Feast).

Blumhouse founder Jason Blum executive produced Unhuman with Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Alex Kruener.

Unhuman looks like a good time to me, but I was sold on this movie as soon as I heard Marcus Dunstan would be directing from a script by Paul Soter. Will you be watching Unhuman? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Unhuman is one of eight movies Blumhouse is making for Epix. The first to go into production was A House on the Bayou, which you can read about at THIS LINK. That has been followed by American Refugee (read about that HERE) and Torn Hearts, which will be released later this month.
