Last week we told you about the new TV series based on the Stephen King novel THE COLORADO KID entitled HAVEN (click HERE for memory boost). Don’t worry, the show is still scheduled to happen, and according to Variety, Universal Networks Intl. has signed on to co-finance the first 13 episodes!

This is good news, mostly cause one of the biggest reasons why shows like this don’t get made after the initial episode is for lack of money. Well guess what–Universal has plenty of dough, so money won’t be an issue here!

E1 Entertainment is the main company producing the first 13 episodes of the show, though it’s still unknown what chanel will be hosting the series, as Universal has distribution rights to international pay channels, but as far as North America distribution goes, it’s still wide open. But hopefully… not for long.

Stick around for more on Stephen King’s HAVEN as we hear it!
