Universal’s annual Halloween Horror Nights will be cancelled this year

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So this is sobering. It seems that Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando are both shutting down and cancelling the upcoming HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS attraction due to the Covid-19 pandemic that is gripping the country. It seems that Orlando will continue daytime operations for their theme park, while the Hollywood location still hasn't opened up yet.

This makes sense, since while there can be enforced max limits on who can enter the park and attractions, as well as being mostly outdoors, it's a bit harder to do that with the HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS attraction as it requires cramped spaces and close quarters to work effectively. This seems to be the sensible move on Universal's part, considering the situation, no matter how disappointing it is to many people.

Here's Universal's official statement on the matter:

So what do you guys think? Any fans of the HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS attraction? If so, which was your favorite theme? Either way, sound off below!
